A very fast melee weapon, which is only second to Sledgehammer, as far as I'm concerned. While not excessively interesting, I made this model because I felt like it and thought it looked good. That and I've always wanted to have this kind of knife and this is the more creative way of going about it.
As for the building itself, nothing really hard about it except the serrated part, which is relatively complex yet tiny. You should use piece of thick cardboard to glue the two sides of the blade together, otherwise it will be too thick. See the top part of the guard for measure.
Height: 400mm

Included are lined and lineless PDOs, also a set with outline padding.
Model and textures made by Bethesda Softworks, and don't you forget that. Also, Fallout 3 is a great game and you should play it.
Thanks for your design!

What is the use of outline padding?
ReplyDeleteThe main purpose is to avoid white lines that occur when gluing white flaps to colored parts. If you're not absolutely precise, white lines will occur. The padding extends the color to flaps so there's some room for imperfection. It has no use where there are no flaps.
DeleteShould I cut by following the outline?
ReplyDeleteNo. You need to follow the lines under the padding. Unless you have a higher resolution printer, you might not see them. They are almost always 1mm thick.
DeleteYou can turn the padding off and on in the Viewer to see what it's about.
